Understanding the usage patterns, shortcomings and the best abilities of three different modes of mobility - autonomous car, e scooter and food truck, the Triple Modal hub is a conceptual proposal for a pedestrian plaza where humans and vehicles can co exist freely.
Simulating the behavior of autonomous cars to the best of their abilities of driving in tight lanes, turning in small circles and secure passenger interactions helps in studying the effect that they can have on the planning of drop-off and pickup zones.

In times of heavy traffic, autonomous cars can drop off the passengers and wait in queue while the travelers enjoy their time in the plaza. E-Scooters are safe and pedestrian friendly as long as their speeds are controlled by chicanes. Food trucks can populate open spaces and create smaller enclosures based on their orientation.
The triple modal hub is a modular solution to the problems of autonomous vehicles in traffic and correlations between light and heavy mobility.
